Elseworlds books would be better if they didn't feel the need to modify EVERY aspect of the DC universe in each one. Red Son has an interesting premise that's ruined by showing you alternate takes on all of the company's heavy hitters. The only positive that came out of this was seeing Ruskie-Batman wearing an ushanka. The ending is by far the best thing about Red Son. I read somewhere that Grant Morrison gave Millar the idea. It's kind of a shame he gave it away but he probably didn't know he'd write All Star Superman at the time.

This was a GREAT twist on the Snow White tale! I enjoyed it much more than the original fairy tale.

A bit of a downer.
