I remember not enjoying Persuasion much when I read it in high school. But I really loved it this time, perhaps because I'm older now, and a "wasted" 8 years doesn't seem as horrifyingly long? Anne Elliot is going into the frequent re-read pile with Elizabeth Bennet and Elinor Dashwood! (Ooh, that would make a nice matchy Austen-esque sibset! Elliot, Elizabeth, and Elinor.) :)
