My kids loved all the Carl books. The illustrations tell the story.

This was a good book in terms of learning more about what life was like in 1599 London. Because there isn't really a lot known about Shakespeare's life specifically though, it's somewhat more speculative about that. All in all, a good read but no huge breakthroughs in my understanding of Shakespeare's life. I did find the history of his theater company at the Globe fascinating though. But then, I am a nerd.
