There are people out there who will nod their heads and say, oh yeah, Naked Lunch, but most of them have never actually read it. The only appropriate response is somewhere between slacked-jawed awe and disgust.

My wife had this book so I picked it up and started reading it. I read it in three days. Although it is a very short book, that's still unusual for me. If someone told me about this book before I read it i probably wouldn't have read it. Not really my sort of thing. As it turns out I really liked it. What I learned? I guess that bad things happen to everybody and you can't just cry in your beer about it.
