Excellent! Can't believe I never heard of this one before. Some shocking things to ponder re: state of American culture and lots of good ideas for voluntary simplicity.

I was anticipating this book for a long time, and I'm sad to say it was a bit of a disappointment. If I wasn't in Fiji I don't know I would've been able to finish this 800-page monster. But if you're an Irving fan like I am, you'll like it because in the end he's a great story teller. This one just isn't in the same ball park as his earlier works.
