reading the waves is like walking through a dreamworld. the only other woolf novel that i've read is mrs. dalloway, and that was a while ago, so i don't have a whole lot to compare it to, but oh my god it was beautiful. even considering the stream-of-consciousness, it seemed fairly easy to read - if you're not focused on "knowing what's happening" and just let the writing carry you along.
