In the Sorcerer's Stone, we are first introduced to Harry Potter and the world of magic. We learn about Hogwarts, witches and wizards, spells and charms, along with Harry who has just found out he is a wizard. Rowling has created an amazing world that most couldn't even begin to dream up in as much detail as she did. This is definitely a very young adult book, and if I remember right, the series doesn't really pick up and develop into more of an adult book until about book 3 or 4. But I still thoroughly enjoyed rereading this book. There are many small details that I forgot over the many years it has been since I first read the book, back in 2003. This is where we get a lot of the small background details that later become important in the series, and definitely worth the read.

Good, quick read. Creative, but nothing earth-shaking.
