This has been on my to-read list forever and was much better than I was expecting! It's a classic suspense story with several surprising plot twists. I think most people know the gist of the story: a widower remarries and his new wife takes up residence at the family manor, Manderley, where she feels overshadowed by her predecessor. The plot twists were unexpected to me and really kept me guessing until the final scene. Quite a good read, overall!
