I thought it was interesting to hear some of the background behind the music industry. But, he jumps around a lot and all the details of his personal life (the multiple marriages, divorces, and affairs) were a bit much.

This isn't really the sort of novel you give a star rating too. It's difficult, it's brilliant, and I'm pleased to be finished with it.
