Dreck. Unsexy porn, really. After reading some of the early novels in this series, I really wish I could rate this lower. The earlier books are pretty darn GOOD - interesting mysteries with action, blood 'n guts, and actual romance. The erotic scenes were actually, well, erotic. However, Incubus Dreams has very little plot - just sex...and don't get me wrong - I don't mind a little sex or erotic interludes...but this sex isn't sexy or erotic - it's just gross. Read books 1 through 9 in this series, before the characters all became totally p-whipped by Anita Blake and lost their personalities.

We read this book in a college english class, and it is possibly my favorite college-read. Its just a short story, but its full of mystery, and frankly, its creepy. I can still close my eyes and picture her circling the room and stepping over her husband as she does it. I think at some point, everyone should pick this up and read through it. It was a great read.

This is one of the best books I have ever read.
