While there is a lot of detail that I didn't feel necessary in this book, it definitely gave me a whole new outlook on Lewis & Clark. I learned some things I didn't know and it really put things into prespective for me. These men traveled across the country carrying with them everything needed for several years and made it back to tell about it--AMAZING! I'd have turned around after the first hour.
