A wonderful World War II novel, highly recommended. I listened to the audio version of this while I was driving through Quebec and Ontario. There were a few times when I had to turn it off for awhile because it became too intense, and there was one horrific part that I skipped past because it was too much for me.

I read the bio and this book talks about sex in public places. My curiosity was peaked at that point.;)Wow this book rocked my world.
