Lucinda has lost almost everything in her life, her parents, her house, and the fortune she thought her parents had. She lives with her Aunt and Uncle, and her Aunt treats her poorly. She is made to scrub the floors, and do all of the chores. Then a strange lady comes in to have her jewel set, the jewel is very unique and looks to be valuable. That same day two young men enter her life, and everything changes. Pretty good. There are elements of fairy tales in it. A pretty fast read that was entertaining.
