If I ever get beyond a basic single crochet stitch, this book will come in handy. The projects are pretty cool.
I wanted to like this book more than I actually did. It felt like Youth Fiction to me. Like the author was trying to educate the young about the diversity of Brooklyn. I felt like he kept beating me over the head about how the Irish, Italians, Jews, Germans, Blacks all had to learn tolerance and acceptance. And regarding Eilis, how old was she? 16? 21? Ok, Toibin did an amazing job of speaking from her perspective, considering the fact that he's an older man. In the end I just wasn't that thrilled with this book. Someone, read this and tell me what I'm missing. Susan?
I really enjoy Chopin's style.
