** spoiler alert ** The Penderwicks at Point Mouette. Hmm. Honestly, out of the three Penderwick books, I liked the first one the best. The first one wasn't all weird and predictable and fire-god-y. This one was interesting enough, and good, Jeffrey found his father, but NEXT DOOR? Are you kidding me? Couldn't you be a little more creative than that? I like Skye, though. I think I like Jane better, and that whole Dominic thing really had me seething, just like her. What a stupid boy. But Mercedes was nice. And aw, Jeffrey's so cute. Skye and him should get married. Well, maybe Batty and him... they are both musicians now, right? I liked that. Batty got into music, the only one in her family. Jeanne Birdsall should write another final Penderwick book where they all get married, that would be nice.
Excellent and informative biography. I didn't previously know anything about Chandler's life, which turned out to be completely unlike anything I might have imagined.
