... so, decided to re-read the Wheel of Time before the 14th (and final!) book comes out in Jan. It's been 17 years since I read this (and about 12 since I stopped reading them at all) --strange to be revisiting them. I've also found how well written this first was, and how stunningly consistent it is with what has followed on. It may get to be a slog, however... we'll see!
