Loved this Gothic page turner about an old woman who is asked to recollect her days as a house maid at the grand estate of Riverton, where a famous scandal occurred during the 1920’s, by a young filmmaker.

I was lucky enough to have this brilliant man for my English Literature teacher in college. He would hand me bits and pieces of this work as it was ongoing to inspire my impressionable and curious mind. I cannot say I've read the whole book, but in the segments I have seen, it was clear his writing is always deeply thoughtful, wildly imaginative, and inexhaustibly experimental. Go Robert!
