This book was pretty good, and it was really easy to read.

I wasn't sure about this book at first. I've always had a dislike of fantasy. But following all the hype and the oxford lit fest thought I better give it a go. Took a little while for me to get into it, I really hated the style at first, thought it was a bit like a teenager trying to write fantasy, but either it grew on me or the pace just quickened up and I didn't notice any more. So much happens, which makes it a real page turner. Can't seriously believe its a kids books though; its really hard! I must be a bit simple but there were some bits I had to read several times to grasp what was happening, how do 10 yr olds manage! Very enjoyable though, however, even though it might be wrong to say it, I sill prefer Harry Potter.
